Therapy for Men, Women, and Couples Navigating Midlife Transitions in California
Many people reach midlife feeling unsettled—questioning long-standing relationship patterns, struggling with conflict or emotional distance, or sensing that something needs to change without knowing exactly how. I’m Kristine Moe, a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist providing in-person therapy in Silver Lake, Los Angeles, and online therapy throughout California. I specialize in psychodynamic and relational therapy for men, women, and couples seeking deeper understanding of the patterns shaping their relationships and emotional lives.
Therapy offers a space to slow down, reflect, and begin to transform patterns that once helped you cope but may now be holding you back. Together, we work to bring awareness, compassion, and clarity to your inner world—fostering deeper connection with yourself and others.
My Approach
My work is grounded in psychodynamic and attachment-informed therapy, which focuses on understanding how early relationships, family systems, and past experiences shape present-day patterns. I tailor therapy to each individual or couple, integrating additional approaches as appropriate while maintaining a depth-oriented, relational focus.
In our work together, I aim to balance thoughtful exploration of the past with a practical, forward-looking perspective—helping you develop insight, emotional flexibility, and a clearer sense of how you want to move forward in your life and relationships.
About Kristine Moe, AMFT
I’m Kristine Moe (she/her), a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #150745) practicing in California under clinical supervision. I provide in-person therapy in Silver Lake, Los Angeles, and online therapy to adults and couples throughout California.
I work primarily with men and women between the ages of 30 and 60, as well as couples, who find themselves reflecting on long-standing relationship patterns, life choices, and questions of meaning that often arise in midlife.
As a first-generation American whose parents emigrated from a war-torn country, I bring a culturally attuned lens to my work and an appreciation for the complexities of identity, belonging, and intergenerational experience.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a teacher, writer, entrepreneur, university administrator, volunteer organization leader, and coach. These experiences inform my belief that growth is lifelong and that we carry many identities—as partners, parents, professionals, and individuals—through different stages of life.
